I’m the summer, we often travel to places that evoke joy or familiarity; or we participate in the beauty of nature and summer’s greening. How will you “come home” to yourself in the lazy days ahead?

We have been given a formula for living in community, with directions for our thinking included! It should come as no surprise that this formula is the foundation of New Thought teachings, but presented in 1st century form. Are you intrigued?

We need each other. We need the beautiful, messy, joyful, challenging, uplifting interactions that help us grow and let us exchange love. We cannot thrive in a vacuum, nor do we benefit from an echo chamber that simply parrots our conditioned thoughts. Our “tribe” is the perfect place for us to become who we were created to be—-because we are united as One.

What a paradox: to be diligent and consistent in our spiritual life, becoming more aware of our thoughts and opening our minds and hearts to the tools of growth---only to be advised that we are required to “Let Go and Let God.” How can we reconcile the longings of our hearts with the relinquishing of them? How do we make a plan of action and then leave it to Spirit for its fulfillment? Let’s explore what is ours to do and what is ours to give up. The title of the this talk is a clue.
