Unity of Wimberley

Easter Sunday.  We celebrate the living Christ in each of us.  

In Unity, we don't say Jesus died for our sins.  So what is the crucifixion about for us?  What is the meaning of atonement?

This is Anniversary Sunday, and will include memories, tributes and tall tales about Unity of Wimberley's first ten years.   

Peter struggled to accept the light of the divine in him, and Judas couldn’t make the shift. But the beloved disciple traveled through his human experience into new life and new consciousness. All are parts of us.

We might identify with the black sheep prodigal son or the resentful elder brother, but each of us is called to be the father.

Ever felt overworked and underappreciated? Ever thought someone else was getting what you deserved? If you’re exhausted and resentful — and have a right to be! -- the Elder Brother is alive in you.

This week is Mardi Gras and Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent. Are you planning to give something up? How about something that’s hurting you anyway?
