The “lost” gospels of Thomas, Philip and Mary Magdalene are more than varying versions of the four gospels we know from the New Testament. They present the teachings of Jesus as a mystical path of love and personal empowerment, rather than a hierarchical path of fear and obedience.
Rev. Ed Townley is visiting Unity of Wimberley this week to fill in for Rev. Ellen Debnport, who is on a one month sabbatical. Rev. Townley is the senior minister at Unity of Greater Hartford (Connecticut) and host of Bible Alive! on Unity Online Radio.

Weaving sermon and songs, Karen Taylor-Good relates the story and the music that took a little Jewish girl from El Paso, TX who was a struggling and near-bankrupt Nashville songwriter to a Grammy nomination, a new house and a renewed appreciation of New Thought teachings. You will enjoy the five KTG songs performed within her "talk". They are "I Am a Gift," "How Can I Help You Say Goodbye," "God's Refrigerator," "On Angel's Wings," and "I Couldn't Have Done it Without Me" If you enjoyed them, they are all available for purchase through iTunes and probably several other sites such as Amazon and Walmart.
