Can we welcome the light and benefit from the dark?  Our earth turns away from its source of light every 24 hours.  What happens in the darkness?  Is life a dream or a puzzle or both?  Perhaps we can find ways to make our darkness a source of fertility and creativity so that our light can shine-not burn.  Featuring Margie Barlow.

"Dominion & Non-Resistance" Mastery over our lives is an ever-evolving aspect of spiritual growth. The quiet confidence we gain by determining how we respond to life reveals possibilities and potential on our path. We practice acceptance and letting life flow through us. We experience the gift of choice as life-affirming dominion over that which is within our power, even as we let go of that which is not.

On this first Sunday of Lent, our Unity Lenten guide says, “We are always in the stark and beautiful movement of letting go of one thing, thought, or situation while being set free to a more excellent, deeper, and more expansive experience of ourselves.” This gives the Lenten season a more generous purpose than our old conditioning of it being a time of deprivation. While letting go is a personal act, we are strengthened by supporting each other as we do so.

With Michael Finn:  We all have that thing that takes us out of the richness and appreciation of the moment. Trauma can limit and block us from being the best version of ourselves. Quieting the “it” can facilitate our life’s purpose and bring us closer to God.

If there has ever been time for which the quality of compassion should be activated, it is now! Compassion is that inherent sense of identification with and care for other living beings. It is an aspect of loving that extends itself without judgement, and finds its expression in prayer and powerful action. Compassion is the antidote to self-absorption and narrow thinking. It makes all things whole.

Unity was founded on the principle of affirmative prayer, and prayer worksin all situations and circumstances. Many of you know the story of co-founder Myrtle Fillmore’s experience of healing chronic tuberculosis through prayer. But what does healing prayer mean to us today? Too oftenwe have equated healing with cure---an assumption that leads to confusion and disappointment. We will explore the many aspects of healing, while keeping in mind that prayer is one consistent in our spiritual journey and growth.

What does being rich mean to you---is it material wealth, good health, fulfilling relationships? Rich and abundant prosperity is about all of these things, and more! When we understand the nature of Divine Substance and our ability to work in harmony with it, our lives are rich beyond measure. Are you ready for a "Prosperous Lifestyle?"

Today our community joins in the Annual Meeting, one of the most important dates in our calendar. It is an opportunity for you to exercise your wisdom, discernment, and membership vote on important issues for the year ahead. We remember Power as a gift of Spirit that elevates our decision-making. It brings purpose from our mind through our hands. When we invoke Power that is magnified in and through each other, our mutual direction is clear and strong! are becoming if we stay focused on our spiritual growth.

Even as we understand that we are powerless over conditions and circumstances, it can feel overwhelming when the focus of conversation is on the chaos. With commitment over time, we can T.R.U.S.T. (Total Reliance Upon Spiritual Timing). We can become at peace with who we are, and who are becoming if we stay focused on our spiritual growth.
