Navigating the Waves

Life’s wonderful dance of change, flow, seasons and opportunity brings us so much to choose from. Whether we choose resistance & suffering or alignment and bliss is really up to us. The more we find practices that assist in navigating the waves of change that life presents in a way that is fulfilling, the more we enjoy our brief existence in form! Faith in the Journey

  Continuing with last week’s lesson on Strength, we now look to the aspect of Faith. If it is true that “God is my all, I know no fear,” then we have nothing to worry about! Faith is a divine gift already given, so our responsibility is to CHOOSE it. Faith is an overarching power, calling upon our will, wisdom, and enthusiasm in order to activate it to its fullest. We are truly never alone, never without the ability to move onward in life with knowledge that ALL IS WELL.

Strenght in the Journey

We return to the Unity tradition and “The Prayer of Faith,” by Hannah More Kohaus. In it, she says, “God is my strength, unfailing, quick.” It is important for us to remember that we have within us the source of all strength, greater than any human limitation or perception of self-sufficiency. That strength takes us through the minor and major difficulties and challenges of life---all we have to do is lean into it. This prayer then becomes a meditation for life, not only from moment to moment, but as a deeply rooted aspect of our spirituality.

Grace in the Journey

Wouldn't it be "nice" if life's road were smooth, easy, and sunny? Maybe not! It would hardly contain the dramatic, unexpected, sometimes dry experiences that seem to push us into new understanding and necessary growth. As much as we might want the easy path, we are encouraged in knowing that the difficult times are nevertheless infused with the grace of Spirit that comforts and inspires us when we are weary or confused. This Grace is, thankfully, something that we do not have to earn or pray to receive. It is an ever-present quality of the Divine that transcends karma (hooray!) and shines a light in the dark corners. All we have to do is be willing to receive that goodness. Being Love

We’ve often heard the invitation to be the change we wish to see in the world. But what would it look like to be the love we wish to see?

Honest, Grateful, Alive & Playful

Take a moment to reflect on these adjectives and see how your body responds. Like the way it feels? Living in these attributes is a gift we are offered by Spirit. It is our choice to accept the gift or not---a choice that can be made in every moment. We have the ability to change our minds! This week we explore how to take on these qualities and express them with more joy and full engagement in life.

Living Above the Line

The way you want your life to look is limited only by your imagination and your willingness to engage in living from a place of high integrity and abundance. The “playing field” of life is as big as Spirit itself! We often become so goal- and destination-focused, we forget that the quality of life is determined by the string of little (and big) choices we make every day, all the time. If there has ever been a year in which we have looked a little deeper into how we live, it has been this one! Where shall we go
