We have spent the last few weeks exploring the frontiers of our growth through BRAVING Trust: Boundaries, Reliability, Accountability, Vault (being trustworthy), Integrity, Non-judgement, and Generosity. These are sacred qualities that not only enrich our personal spiritual lives, but they extend into our homes, workplaces, and communities. How are you a spiritual leader in the arena of your life? What courageous decision can you make right now to step into a new, more fulfilling way of being?

Assumptions of Generosity

Generosity is not just about giving freely of ourselves and our resources. It is also about thinking of others with the generosity of our hearts. From Brenė Brown: “You extend the most generous interpretation possible to the intentions, words, and actions of others. The assumption of generosity is believing that people are doing the best they can.” Generosity also requires boundaries, but the reward is great trust between people.

We are ever-evolving expressions of infinite presence and unlimited potential. So, always doing our best with so many choices in front of us may at times seem like a daunting idea. What if, instead of being overwhelmed we could focus all that energy on being at peace with who we are right now?

The Trustworthy Friend

One of the ways we can nurture and strengthen our personal relationships – and our community – is to be a person who is safe and holds confidentiality. We can move from a “keeping secrets” mentality to holding sacred space for each other’s most vulnerable hearts.

Get Real

Do you over-promise and over-commit? Do you do what you say you’ll do? Do you own your mistakes and apologize for them? Spiritual maturity requires balance and intergrity. Let’s “Get Real” and discover true freedom of being your authentic.

Re-framing F.E.A.R.

Fear is one of our most powerful, natural instincts. We’ve been hard wired for it for our protection since the beginning of time. But in today’s sensory-overload world, we’re not always able to discern real from imagined threats to our well-being, especially when we’re called to a life of spiritual growth and authentic living.

Authentic Yes, Authentic No.

Setting boundaries is one challenging area of spiritual growth. When we begin to master that, to find our Authentic No, we are practicing emotional courage and spiritual self-love. On the other hand, the Authentic Yes springs from divine guidance and stretching our previous limits so that we may grow. Both are necessary, and both move us forward in vital and exciting ways.

A Choice for the Future

It is easy for us to forget that we are a vital part of this living organism that is the Earth. Every decision we make has an impact on people, places, or things in the natural and material world. We are all seeking to be more conscious all the time, everywhere---let's raise the bar a little higher as we consider all the seen and unseen parts of our beautiful planet
